My late father, P.P. Narayanan Nair, was a recipient of the Tamrapatra award and actively participated in the Mahe freedom movement. My late mother, Madathil Janaki Amma, was a homemaker.

“Hello, my name is Madathil Babu Jayaprakash. I’m originally from Mahe, also known as Mayyazhi, and I’m currently based in Chennai.”
“I am married to Ushadevi, a dedicated homemaker. Our daughter, Mruthulaa Nair, is a skilled architect and is married to Jishnu Salim, who holds a master’s degree in petrochemical engineering. Jishnu has established a successful business in Dubai and has diversified into the hair care industry, manufacturing premium products globally and marketing them under the EVELUTE brand, registered in the UAE and India. Jishnu is the second son of renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. Salim Narayanan (founder Director of Mission Hospital Thalassery) and Dr. Shobhana. We are thrilled to have a grandson, Aryan Ved, who completed his two years.
Professional Career
After completing my college education, I moved to Dubai and began my career as a Sales Executive at an engineering company specializing in cold storage construction and air conditioning systems.
Seeking better career opportunities, I joined a trading company engaged in seafood exports. When the company established a fish processing plant in Ajman, I was transferred to handle accounts. Over time, I gained expertise in seafood processing, grading, quality control, and organoleptic surveys (a method used to assess sensory characteristics such as taste, smell, texture, and appearance). I worked extensively with shrimp, lobster, and other seafood products for export.
Later, I joined COTECNA INSPECTION S.A, a Switzerland-based pre-shipment inspection company, specializing in marine inspections and conducting valuation services for imports and exports to Pakistan and African countries. These inspections were mandated by international organizations such as the IMF, ADB, and World Bank.
I initially worked in the valuation department, identifying cases of undervaluation and overvaluation. Later, I was promoted to Inspection Manager, a role I held for 18 years.
Additionally, I worked with Matthews Daniel Services (Bermuda) Limited at their Dubai branch.
In 2014, I resigned and settled in Chennai.
Writing and Blogging
While I was always passionate about sports and games, the COVID-19 pandemic brought out my hidden interest in writing.
In 2021, I began refining my writing skills and have since published more than 200 articles on my blog. My writings focus on politics, social issues, and the history and people of Mahe.
My blog, titled “Chuvanna Kadukkanitta Mayyazhi Kadha Parayumbol”, has received widespread recognition among Malayalam readers worldwide.
